Mastering Literacy. Discovering Nature.

Celebrating neurodiverse learners and unlocking the knowledge within.

Our Approach

Naturally Literate is a literacy clinic based in Thunder Bay, ON, that provides Reading Remediation and Handwriting Intervention.
We tailor every lesson to the unique needs of the individual.
Our focus is literacy. We teach literacy skills; from the beginning stages of reading and spelling, to essay and speech writing. Our curriculum is inclusive from the emergent (kindergarten) reading years to mature adulthood, all services improve or provide intervention in literacy skills. We specialize in helping individuals who have difficulty in the traditional educational system or who are new language learners.
Our lessons have the option to be nature based and conducted with a land-based lens.

Contact us today and we can help you find the Key to unlocking the knowledge within.

Reading Redemption

One on one reading remediation for student with language learning difficulties. Proudly using the highly effective Remediation Plus (R+) System. A multisensory, systematic, phonics curriculum based Orton-Gillingham long standing research.

Behind the Scenes at the Clinic

A Lakehead University Graduate in HBOR and Concurrent Ed. I/S, a Master Reading Specialist in the Remediation Plus system, and an outdoor facilitator who speaks 3 languages, Julia Postigo-Rombola has accomplished many things in her life. After overcoming her challenges as a young person with reading (Dyslexia), writing (Dysgraphia), and attention (ADHD), Julia continued with a post-secondary education and her pursuits of being a teacher. When asked why she became a teacher she answered, "A major motivating factor was to help children who fell through the cracks, like I did."

"My son has been working with Julia since September 2019- every session he's had so far, we have seen tremendous improvements in his ability to read. Thanks to Julia's patience and understanding of all sorts of learning techniques my son adores her and loves learning with her."
